Evanston's Halloween week is packed with free and low-cost events for families, with trick-or-treating, haunted houses, costume contests and live music running through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Here is what is still ahead.

Harley Clarke Mansion: Friday and Saturday

The Harley Clarke Mansion at 2603 Sheridan Road will open its doors to trick-or-treaters for the first time in nearly a decade, event organizers told Evanston Wire. The event runs 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31.

Family-friendly frights run from 4 to 7 p.m. both nights. Organizers plan to turn up the scare factor from 7 to 8 p.m. for older kids. Visitors can expect full-size candy bars and goodie bags.

"Halloween is for everyone and we're really hoping this is a draw for kids from all over Evanston!" said Celadon CEO and President Scott Henry, whose company plans a roughly $30 million restoration of the mansion starting spring 2027.

The Harley Clarke Beer Garden will be open 3 to 10 p.m. both nights, with live music each evening. The beer garden closes out its first season Sunday, Nov. 1, noon to 7 p.m., with drink specials and live music.
